Meet Anthony
When Anthony Salerno was just two years old, he was diagnosed with steroid-resistant minimal change nephrotic syndrome, a rare kidney disease that changed his family’s life forever. Today, Anthony continues to face every challenge with resilience, determination, and a positive spirit.
What started as a simple lemonade stand has grown into Anthony’s Mark on the World Summer Splash campaign. Over the years, Anthony’s efforts have raised nearly $25,000 to support the Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation (NSF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing research, advocacy, patient programs, and community support for children and families affected by nephrotic syndrome.
Your Gift Supports Camp NSF
One of NSF’s eight patient programs is Camp NSF, held each year in Livermore, California. As an annual camper, Anthony has experienced firsthand the friendships, confidence, and sense of belonging that camp provides. Camp NSF brings together children and families affected by nephrotic syndrome for connection, support, and unforgettable experiences
Boost Your Impact with a 50% Match
This year, Community Health and Education Foundation (CHEF) is pleased to partner with Anthony’s Mark on the World Summer Splash campaign and the Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation to help make every donation go even further.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 from the community. Through CHEF’s 50% matching campaign, that will become $30,000 in support of Camp NSF. Every donation is matched by 50%, meaning a $100 gift becomes $150. Your generosity has an even greater impact, helping provide meaningful experiences and support for more children and families affected by nephrotic syndrome.
All funds raised through this campaign will directly support Camp NSF, serving children and families from the Tri-Valley community and beyond. CHEF also covers all administrative and processing fees, so your donation, plus the 50% match, goes directly to supporting Camp NSF.
