Tri-Valley Wildfire Preparedness Project
If You Can’t Breathe, Nothing Else Matters
The American Lung Association In conjunction with the Community Health and Education Foundation (C.H.E.F.), and Las Positas Community College will help educate, prepare and protect Tri-Valley residents via the newly launched Tri-Valley Wildfire Preparedness Project.
Through this unique program, the Lung Association will provide multi-lingual education on health consequences of wildfires and wood burning in the Tri-Valley area. These efforts will include conversations with health, safety and emergency professionals, easy year-round access to wildfire preparation tips along with advice on what to do during and after wildfires including how to safely prepare evacuated / damaged home for return, setting up a clean room in your house, and much more to protect the health of all Valley residents.
CHEF has seeded this project with $20,000 in matching funds. Donations made to the Tri-Valley Wildfire Preparedness Project will support the critical work of the American Lung Association, because If You Can’t Breathe, Nothing Else Matters.
