Culinary Angels is a nonprofit organization that provides nutrient-rich meals and nutrition education to those actively going through cancer treatment and other serious health challenges. Meals are delivered free of charge throughout the Tri-Valley. Our program believes that caregivers play a critical part in a person’s ability to heal and recover. Therefore we provide meals not only to the recipient but to their caregiver in an effort to support the stress and responsibilities that can often go along with this role. Our volunteers are trained to cook with as many organic ingredients as possible and focus on nutrient-rich, plant-based, seasonal ingredients. Your support will allow us the opportunity to feed more people in need and develop robust educational opportunities so that health, hope, and wellness are sustained.

Fertile GroundWorks strives to help improve the food security of our neighbors in need, by teaching our community members how to sustainably grow healthy organic fruits and vegetables to give to our local community kitchens and food pantries.
Your donation will enable us to procure the supplies needed to continue teaching, growing, and giving. Even in the trying times of this year, we have been blessed with the support of CHEF and community members and had the help of 1,100 volunteers to grow over 19,000 pounds of much-needed fresh produce to share within our community. With your help, we are looking forward to being able to share even more with our neighbors in the coming year.

At Hively, we believe that thriving communities begin with thriving families! Hively is a multi-faceted social services agency whose mission is to provide resources and support so that everyone in our community can thrive. Hively’s holistic services include affordable mental health services on a sliding fee scale; a Family Resource Center storefront where families in need may come to receive free food, diapers, clothing, shoes, and other basic necessities; child care referrals for families in the Tri-Valley and child care subsidies for income-eligible families in Alameda County; parent education classes to support the parent-child bond; and early learning activities for children (the Children’s Book Club supports early literacy and the Busy Bees Learning Lab offers guided STEAM activities).

Livermore Pride is a California 501(c)(3) Nonprofit with a mission to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and end isolation in Livermore and the greater Tri-Valley region. With welcoming and inclusive programs and services, we honor the diversity of our community, highlighting the intersectionality of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race, religion, and economic status. We strive to have all LGBTQ+ people feel seen and heard as valued members of our community.

Our vision is that everyone has enough money, meaning, and friends to thrive.

Partners for Change Tri-Valley seeks to inspire and equip our community to reduce poverty and remove the barriers that stand in the way. Our goal is to help cut the poverty rate of our participants by 10%. Studies have proven that 10% is a tipping point, after which change spreads more readily and rapidly. A 10% reduction is an achievable and measurable goal — and it’s enough of a change in each community to tip the scale toward a prosperous and strong nation.

St. Bartholomew’s is not only an Episcopal Church but also a host site for a community garden, a community preschool, the Interfaith Sharing food pantry, Monthly Miracles, and two other religious communities. By supporting St. Bart’s you are supporting a place that provides basic needs and comforts to our most vulnerable neighbors and that seeks to build peace and understanding across lines of race, class, and culture.

At Quest Science Center, everyone belongs! Our mission is to inspire and nurture skills of exploration so that everyone in our region can thrive in today’s technological world. Your donation will have an impact on the lives of young people throughout our community, and help build and broaden our workforce of the future.

Your support helps make possible our accessible outdoor family science events, science camps, intern programs, career panels, speaker series, community science projects, and partnerships with many educational institutions in our greater Tri-Valley area. We nurture explorers of all ages and backgrounds, with an emphasis on middle school students and their families – helping them to realize their true potential, and gain awareness of the broad range of innovations, people, and opportunities across companies and organizations in our innovation region.
