FUEL THE MUSIC
August/September 2024
Fuel the Music: Let’s make some noise and support Granada Music together!
Granada High School (GHS) boasts a vibrant music department featuring a range of performance ensembles, including marching, concert, and pep bands, two jazz bands, two choirs, drumline, orchestra, and the L-Pattern competition program for drum majors. Granada Music also proudly hosts the City of Livermore Guard, a competitive color guard program uniting students from both Livermore and Granada High Schools. Our talented students perform annually throughout Northern California, shining at music festivals, competitions, and various school and community events.
The heart of our success is the Granada Music Parents, a dedicated community of volunteers committed to expanding our music programs, ensuring equitable access to music education, and fostering a lifelong love for the musical arts. Through active parent participation, creative fundraising, and robust community involvement, we partner closely with GHS and the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD).
While LVJUSD provides some funding, it’s only a small part of what we need to offer our students a full spectrum of performance and competition opportunities. This makes fundraising a crucial element of our operations. Funds raised through our exciting partnership with CHEF will support the Granada Music trip to study and perform at Disneyland in April 2025 and the purchase of a new equipment trailer for our off-site performances and competitions. Join us in our mission to “fuel the music” and keep it alive and thriving.
