CHEF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All grants and charitable contributions are tax-deductible.
TVNPA is a collaborative hub that strengthens the nonprofits serving the Tri-Valley area and beyond. From the beginning, TVNPA envisioned creating a network that would support, uplift, and foster collaboration between various nonprofit organizations, thereby creating a more vibrant and community. As we have grown, we have added several key programs, including the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Fund, the CommonPoint Nonprofit Center, the Anti-Poverty Collaborative, and the Livermore Connects Coalition.
At the heart of our efforts is the philosophy that “together, we’re better.” This sentiment rings true daily, with participating organizations enjoying the collaborative boost that elevates their community impact. As these nonprofits grow stronger collectively, the ripple effect of their work extends throughout the communities they serve, enhancing the quality of life for all.
Fertile GroundWorks works to help improve our neighbors’ food security. We believe that no one in the Tri-Valley should go to bed hungry. Our mission is to “Teach, Grow, Give”. Year round we teach community members how to sustainably grow organic produce for themselves and their neighbors in our main garden and at 20 school gardens. These lessons with our wonderful volunteers help us to grow and give over 25,000 pounds of fresh healthy fruits and vegetables to our local food pantries and community kitchens every year. It takes a community of caring people to help improve their neighbors’ food security. Fertile GroundWorks couldn’t do what we do without the help of wonderful people like you and the folks at CHEF. THANK YOU ALL!
Thank you so much for your generous support of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. In addition to being the presence of the Episcopal Church in Livermore, St. Bart’s is a unique place in many ways. The grounds play host to not one but three religious assemblies, each with its own unique flavor, and we also host multiple twelve-step and community service groups. St. Bart’s is thus a place of very active dialogue in which people of many different stripes build peace and understanding. We also support two major community outreach ministries: the Interfaith Sharing Food Pantry onsite and Laundry Love offsite at Blossom Laundromat. Both of these address the immediate and longer-term needs of some of Livermore’s neediest residents. In supporting St. Bart’s you are supporting not only a church but our whole community. Many thanks for your generosity!
Livermore Valley Arts, a 501(c)3 non-profit, manages the Bankhead Theater and Bothwell Arts Center, aiming to provide diverse arts experiences for the community. Our vision is to be the cultural heart of a vibrant arts community. Since 2007, the Bankhead Theater has hosted various artists, fostering a shared appreciation for live performances.
Supporting the Arts benefits all of us, contributing to community cohesion, economic strength, quality of life and well-being, and economic strength. Donations of $150 or more make you a member of LVA, enabling our organization to bring diverse artists to the community and enhance the transformative power of the performing arts. Your contribution helps create a thriving cultural hub in Livermore and the Tri-Valley.
Partners for Change Tri-Valley uses a transformative, research based life skills curriculum to provide weekly education classes and mentorship to the under-resourced community. The class is designed to assist participants to navigate their way out of poverty and into self-sustainability. Graduates of our program leave with competence in work-readiness, financial literacy, goal setting, planning, inter-personal skills, focus, self-awareness, quality decision making, and resilience, all designed for better outcomes at home, school, work, and life.
By providing this wide array of family and community resources, we ensure that children and families throughout Alameda County have the support they need to thrive. Your donation not only helps us perform broader outreach to families, but also helps us pursue a widening range of add-on supports, personalized resource navigation, and clinical therapy and counseling programs, aimed at treating the whole family. We thank you for your support.
Sunflower Hill co-develops affordable housing communities and offers life skills and enrichment programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we join the community in celebrating all that has been accomplished (with your help!) over the past 10 years. The Sunflower Hill Garden in Livermore continues to provide educational, therapeutic, and life skills training, offering adults with I/DD opportunities to socialize, learn, and grow through our Hands-On Garden Programs. More than 90% of what we grow is donated to local nonprofit partners. Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch, opened in 2020 in Pleasanton, provides much needed affordable housing for 38 adults with I/DD, and offers enrichment activities like cooking classes, arts/crafts, movie nights, field trips (and more!) and they are available to both residents and the larger community.
Funds raised from Giving Tuesday will support our life changing programs for adults with I/DD. Thank you for your generous support!
