Community Health and Education Foundation (CHEF) is pleased to partner with Fertile GroundWorks to help protect volunteers, conserve water, and grow more fresh food for the community.
Why This Matters
Unpredictable temperatures and shifting rainfall are making it harder to keep volunteers safe and crops thriving. Your support helps ensure the farm can continue feeding neighbors while adapting to a changing climate.
What We’re Building
- A shaded pergola with fruiting vines to provide a cooling and hydration space for volunteers and families
- A smart irrigation system to reduce water use and increase crop yields
- Expanded “Peas and Me” classes for children (6 months–8 years) and their families
